Meeting between the founder of Kaunus, Zayda Jiménez and the cellist Guillermo Pastrana
On May 8, a very emotional and special moment took place for Kaunus and its founder, Zayda Jiménez. The center for higher musical education, MusicalARTS, was the space chosen for the artist and creator to meet, giving Guillermo Pastrana an extraordinary gift, the hydraulic adjustable bench that bears his name Pastrana and that he inspired.
Cellist Guillermo Pastrana is considered one of the most influential Spanish artists today. Possessing a beautiful and powerful sound, Pastrana displays originality in his performances without abandoning the essence and purity of the music, becoming a versatile and authentic performer who reaches the public sincerely and directly.
For Zayda, every stool, every Legend is unique. In his own words, “my heart inspires me, what I feel when I watch and listen to music. A pianist or cellist inspired each bench that I admire. They have been my inspiration when designing. Their interpretations have provoked an emotion that has led me to try to reflect the traits in my designs. That’s why each Legend has its personality, and in the case of Pastrana, its distinctive is the essence“.
Without a doubt, it was a unique moment to see and hear Guillermo Pastrana sitting on the bench that he and his art inspired. Kaunus is proud that an artist of his talent and recognition represents his brand.
